I found myself 20lbs heavier, struggling to keep my eyes open in the afternoons, with a face full of acne. I was confused as to how I ended up there, being that I worked out and felt like I ate fairly healthy. It seemed like no matter what I tried, I couldn’t create the results I wanted in a way that I could see myself maintaining long term. It wasn’t until I discovered the unlimited motivation and FREEDOM that exists in living according to God’s VISION for my life and health that I began to see changes. That is when I realized the most important thing to ever impact my life and health - If I wanted change, I had to partner with God! With God, I crafted a healthy lifestyle that led to ENERGY, healthy weight loss, and confidence in my body WITHOUT feeling overwhelmed or giving in to old patterns. 10 years and two kids later, by the GRACE OF GOD, I’m still prioritizing my health and feeling amazing. Hey Friend,
If you're someone who genuinely wants to create health in your body and you want to make healthy choices, and maybe you feel like you're already MAKING healthy choices, but you're still struggling with weight loss, or you're still dealing with fatigue, maybe your blood work isn't where you'd expect it to be...
 
It's possible that THIS simple mistake is playing a big part in it all. And that mistake is... poor blood sugar regulation.
 
I see this SO often with clients and non-clients. I think a BIG reason why it's so common is because there are a LOT of "healthy" foods that people eat on a regular basis that are consistent blood sugar raisers. (Also known as high glycemic foods)
 
In today's episode I'm going to explain why balancing your blood sugar matters and how what you eat plays directly into it
 
I'll also give some tips on how you can begin to EASILY regulate your blood sugar today!

Hey Friend,
I want to make this as clear and practical as possible today.
 
I'll start by saying some of you, maybe most of you, aren't super impressed with the idea of only losing 15 pounds between now and New Years.
 
Most people want faster results. I get it.
 
But if you know me, you know how hard it was for me to even name an episode like that where I'm suggesting a certain amount of weight that you can lose.
 
But here's why I did it...
 
I want to make HEALTHY weight loss the predominant approach to weight loss.
 
I want people to be educated and informed on what a healthy amount of weight to lost is in a week or month.

Hey Friend!
Welcome back to the Holy & Hungry segment of the Vision Driven Health podcast.
 
These episodes will now be every other week and are meant to be a health devotional for you where you can bring your hunger to the table and be filled with what God has for your health.
 
If you're a regular listener, you may have been looking for this episode last Wednesday, as that is usually when I release the Holy and Hungry episodes.
 
For the foreseeable future, I will be doing one episode a week.
 
This year I am starting to homeschool my oldest for Kindergarten. We started a couple of weeks ago, and it's been really great. I am also just so much more aware of how much more intentional I want to be in my time with him and my younger son.
 
In addition to producing this podcast, running the Healthy Weight Loss Academy, and serving 1-1 clients, Ryan and I are fairly involved at church.
 
At the start of 2024, I said I wanted to figure out how to slow down, and truth be told, I don't think I've done anything that has made significant progress in that direction.
 
SO, something I think I can lay down at this time is doing two episodes a week and going to only 1. My hope is that I will be able to maintain, if not increase, the quality of each episode while continue my efforts to slow down.
 
This is actually very related to today's topic, because I really believe a BIG part of the battle for our health has to do with how stressed and busy we allow ourselves to become.
 
I'm getting deep into the spiritual battle against our time, our health, and our ability to LIVE OUT GOD'S CALLING ON our lives. We must not allow ourselves to get distracted!
