I found myself 20lbs heavier, struggling to keep my eyes open in the afternoons, with a face full of acne. I was confused as to how I ended up there, being that I worked out and felt like I ate fairly healthy. It seemed like no matter what I tried, I couldn’t create the results I wanted in a way that I could see myself maintaining long term. It wasn’t until I discovered the unlimited motivation and FREEDOM that exists in living according to God’s VISION for my life and health that I began to see changes. Hey Friend!
We are continuing with the healthy hormones series today to address a VERY important aspect of hormones and that is - fertility.
 
According to the World Health Organization, 1 in 6 people are affected by infertility worldwide.
 
It's estimated that 48.5 million couples experience infertility globally.
 
9% of men and 10% of women aged 15-44 reported fertility issues in the United States
 
9 of 10 counties with the highest total fertility rate are in Africa followed by Afghanistan.
 
Southern Europe, Eastern Europe, and Eastern Asia have the lowest fertility rates in the world with an average of 1.5 children per woman.
 
I know we've got a few listeners in Sweden, you'll have to tell me what you all are doing there because you have one of the highest fertility rates in all of Europe.
 
I found it interesting, as today's guest will touch on, that 60% of infertle individuals reported having higher levels of anxiety and depression
 
41% of infertile women have depression
 
87% of infertile women have anxiety
 
Growing your family is a big deal and a major desire for many.
My mom had 3 miscarriages, one before me, one after, and one after my sister. Hearing her story and those of many others has really left a mark on my heart.
 
I also know first hand that the journey of trying to conceive can come with many emotions. It can be a very emotionally draining, discouraging, and even painful journey.
 
My hope is that after today's episode you would feel seen, be encouraged, and find hope for what's possible for your health and In growing your family.

Hey Friend!
I got so excited a couple weeks ago when I realized that today's episode would land EXACTLY one year from when I FIRST launched this podcast.
 
I cannot believe it's already been a whole year!!
 
I thought the MOST applicable topic we could do for today's Holy and Hungry segment is GRATITUDE, because man, I am SOOOooo grateful for this journey.
 
If you're new, this Holy and Hungry segment is a midweek episode that serves as a short health devotional for you where you can bring your hunger to the table and be filled with what God has for your health.
 
I started it a few months ago and it's become one of my favorite parts of running this podcast.
